why so difficult.

Hey, this game has a lot of potential! The pixel art is quite nice, and I love the use sound effects. I do have a bit of criticism though:

  • First of all, making the demo a browser game will help a lot with getting people to try your game, as not everyone is willing to download games.
  • The main mechanic isn't that interesting, being stopped and forced to wait isn't fun, and not in the rage game sort of way.
  • The bar should refill to show much time you have left in "sleep" mode.
  • Having the "special move" be mouse controlled when the rest of are on keyboard feels very odd
  • There's a lot of precision platforming, but it's much harder than it needs to be because the player's capsule hitbox keeps sliding them off to the side, I'm not sure if that's intentional
  • The level doesn't completely reset when you die, causing the level to be nearly impossible because the saw and cannon patterns become impossible to pass through with sleeping taken into account, This stopped me from beating the first level.
